We set seas today. No internet for a little while. Don’t worry about us. We are safe and sound.    Someone was thinking! Cartoons at the bar. 

Last night we took the kids on a two hour kayak trip through mangrove tunnels to a lagoon with brilliant stars and phytoplankton that is bioluminescent. No pictures because it was a wet and dark trip.  

Our hotel has a great pool and beach front! Perfect afternoon.   

Some may know how interested Marion (and subsequently Helena) has been into circuses. I took them to a Mexican Circus in San Juan tonight. The girls loved every minute of it.   

 On our hike down to the waterfalls in El Yunque we had fun with some clay that was the same type of clay the indigenous people used for plates and building homes. We used it for face paint.   The kids and Jesse went off the beaten path to climb some falls.  

 Cool plants in a tide pool  Kids spent the afternoon body surfing  Swimming in college friend Marc Bejarano’s pool. His house was on the beach. Very fun!  Breakfast with friends. 

Today was a day of a lot of hiking, climbing, and soaking in the waterfall pools. The birds were singing and the waterfalls were cool in the heat. No mosquitos yet.    I love how plants grow anywhere here.   Rosie and I found this rather large fresh water crab. She was so proud […]
