How to Get Notifications of Updates

Okay, so this is mostly for our family members, but it applies to anyone who has been compulsively checking this site every day or so for new pictures of Marion–ahem, Marnie.

There is a relatively simple way to receive an email notification whenever this site is updated. Just follow these instructions:

(NOTE: THIS WAS WRITTEN FOR THE OLD BLOG AND NO LONGER APPLIES)

Sign-Up for an Account

  • Scroll down looking in the right-hand column until you see the area that says “Login
  • Underneath the “Login” button click the link for “Create an Account
  • Fill in all of the necessary information, including a valid email address where you’d like to receive the notifications, and a user name and password to login later
  • Click “Signup” to submit your information
  • If you were successful, you should see a screen that says “Thanks for signing up!” If you don’t see this screen, there may have been some problem. For instance, your chosen user name may already be taken or you used an invalid character. Go back and try again until you are successful.
  • Now check your email account that you provided during registration and click the link in the email to confirm that your email address is valid.
  • After you click the link you should be taken to a screen that says “Your account has been confirmed – you are now logged in.” You do not need to fill in any of the information on this screen if you don’t want to.
