we got back home a little late and had to walk home in the dark from school. One guy backed up suddenly and we all scurried like cockroaches to avoid his car. We kept walking home and 10 minutes later a car pulled up. It was the same guy apologizing that he scared us. Thank goodness he spoke English or he would have scared us twice.

yesterday we forgot Rosie’s shoes at the salon. We walked quite a long way to retrieve them. Unfortunately the woman wasn’t there. But we saw some things.

the girls have befriended two young college girls. They chat in the shade together and relax in the hammocks. It’s pretty cute.

the afternoons are hot and sunny but the mornings and evenings are cool. After getting all dolled up we headed to the playground to eat some fresh mangoes and monkey around.

the women here have very elaborate nails. The girls were dying to get in on that custom. We visited a salon and the girls got a little TLC.
below is a picture of Marion, Helena and I walking to lunch. We got pizza. They find all sorts of different vegetation that they pick up and try to crack open.
This coco nut was found on our afternoon walk around town.

Here are some pictures of our Spanish school. Marion, Helena and I go here four hours each morning. Jesse and Rose stay at our home stay. Jesse works remotely and Rosie hangs out with her Mamma Tica. (Costa Rican mother). The girls love school. I’m finding it to be tough, plus it’s hard for me to leave Rosie for so long.

this is a picture of our home stay’s kitchen. They watch their granddaughter in the evenings. The girls are ecstatic to have a girl friend especially one who speaks a little English.
