The Children’s Eternal Rainforest

We explored the Children’s Eternal Rainforest. It is a plot of protected land purchased by children in Sweden. Jesse stayed at night and went on a guided hike.

Home Brew

I found a store that sells home brew kombucha! Like a little present from the home sick gods.

Monteverde Class

These are the people in my Monteverde class. The gentleman is my teacher. His name is Jose. He was wonderful. Suzanne and I are going from campus to campus together so you will see her in Flamingo too. In this class there is Glenda from Colorado who breeds dogs and Holly from Boston, a retired psych nurse.

10 year Aniversary

We enjoyed a quick swim after class then we hiked over to a chocolate maker to eat a wonderful lunch of milkshakes and more. We hiked back to school stopping to gaze at a full rainbow. After we danced the evening away until we strolled home in a mist while watching for fire flies and star gazing. Once home, our momma Tica prepared a special dinner for us. Sounds unbelievably romantic… Doesn’t it?

Hanging Bridges

we hiked a little over a mile on and off suspension bridges over the rain forest. It was wet and wild. I have never seen so many different plants.

First day of school in Monteverde

marion and I headed off to school today. New teachers and new campus. After school Jesse, rose, and Helena showed up. We walked to a bat jungle and then went to a chocolatier to get cold chocolate milks.

The long Road to Monteverde

Monteverde is approximately 3.5 hours away from San Joaquin. Between Marion getting sick with a cold and fever and Rosie not wanting to be in the car, it was a strenuous say. To say the least.

First we said good bye to our fabulous family and then we took off. Hoping for the best.

This third picture is of the dirt road we weaved back and forth on for the last hour. I thought we were all going to hurl.

We finally made it.

Now we need to regroup and get back out there!!!
