Today was a day of a lot of hiking, climbing, and soaking in the waterfall pools. The birds were singing and the waterfalls were cool in the heat. No mosquitos yet.

I love how plants grow anywhere here.
Rosie and I found this rather large fresh water crab. She was so proud of it.
Jesse and the bigger girls climbed up the lower falls to get to the larger falls. Rosie and I hung out below throwing rocks and finding interesting critters.

Everyone here drives super aggressively. Jesse gets passed by EVERYONE. even the elderly….
Jesse’s grandmother is amazing. I only hope I am ever that spry in my life let alone in my 90s.

This is the closest beach to our house. 25 minutes. We are staying inland this week to visit family.

This is Jesse’s mobile work station. We set him up in the stroller and take him with us. On the downside – to send emails he has to relocate to the lifeguard stand. On the upside- he has a cup holder for his coffee.

Some of you might know that I have been running a children’s book club for the past year. Our next book is called the Phantom Tollbooth and I am excited about the package that arrived today.

As Rose turns two today, we run her last load of cloth diapers. Woo hoo! No more washing poopie diapers. (Mind you, still plenty of general poo cleanup in our future, though.) But it’s also a little sad. She’s not a baby anymore. Is it strange that I’m already looking forward to grandkids now?
